Production is not the only area which is expanding here at Dynaplas.
As we are now well into the year 2016 we have made many changes to the structure of our offices. We are embracing the idea of paperless storage for our engineering documentation. Now an area traditionally dedicated to files has been transformed into a new area devoted to Project Managing. Other areas like Sales and Quality have been re-configured to make room for new personnel so we can better serve our customers.
It is with a heavy heart, Dynaplas announces the loss of Hall of Fame member
Mr. Frank Viapianna on May 5, 2016.
The Ontario Minister of Economic Development, Employment
and Infrastructure, Brad Duguid, the Ontario Finance Minister,
Charles Sousa, the MPP for Scarborough Rouge River, Bas
Balkissoon, and the President of the Auto Parts Manufacturing
Association, Flavio Volpe visited Dynaplas today. While they were
here, they reviewed our facility and made an announcement.
Hon. Brad Duguid remarked “After touring Dynaplas, I want you
to know that I and my colleagues are blown away by your commitment to innovation.”
Dynaplas was pleased Hon. Brad Duguid and guests observed our continual desire for modernization. “You are not only producing high performance products….. your light weight products are testing the limits of plastic and threatening to further disrupt our auto sector
And that’s where Ontario needs to be…in this fast changing global economy…where almost every sector is in a full-fledged state of technological disruption…our choice in Ontario is to either lead that disruption and grow or get run over by it and wither.
We choose to lead.”
Hon. Brad Duguid also revealed “And that’s what our $400M Business Growth Initiative, announced in the budget is all about. There is no such thing any longer as the next generation economy… we are living in it today.”
Dynaplas is completing the finishing touches on our new Bowl Feeder / End of Arm / Camera system. This process Dynaplas has added to the work cell will allow us to produce eight new parts with three inserts a piece with ease (and with the camera system) reliability. When production levels start, this pre-install work will really help get good parts out the door.
At Dynaplas we are full of activity. The demand for material has made it necessary to expand our central dryer system, where we have two completely separate systems dedicated to their own material. This will help enhance our precision in streamlining our process controls.
As we expand our production floor further into the west side of the building we decided to add in a new crane to handle the increase in business and traffic. It was a great couple of days seeing how effortlessly the installation took place. It took a great deal of pre-planning but it was all worth it in the end.
We are in the midst of installing our biggest (550 tonne) machine to date. From all accounts the installation went smoothly. The precision of the Dynaplas team and the company we chose to help out in the move was exceptional. Well done Dynaplas Team!
It all started with a 40 ton injection machine and a dream. It was thirty years ago when Ed Beth and Santiago Perez, our original owners, decided to expand from just making injection moulds, to producing automotive parts, when one of our customers needed help with some moulding of a pulley. From the respect of our clients to the flexibility of our operations we have been able to continually grow to what we have become today.
30 years young and still going strong!
During the long frigid winter we were waiting impatiently for the warmer weather to arrive. Now that summer is finally here, we wanted to rejoice! We were finally able to venture into the great outdoors and rejuvenate the outside of our facility with refreshed landscaping and a new coat of paint. We are looking forward to more warm sunny days like this (and getting some rounds of golf in as well)
Wishing you a great summer!

He even entertained us with a story or two.
